After a two-year hiatus, The Cup (formerly known as Deighton Cup) graced our sunny July calendars. Ladies and gents went all out in point to Come Get Fancy, July 23rd at Hastings Racecourse.
Hot food, unlimited (or limited if your date was a party-pooper) drinks and not to mention $4.7 million dollars in cars to see… with an opportunity to win one of the cars displayed, courtesy of Mile’s End Motors.
Live Performances by FELIX CARTAL & K-OS graced the stage between DJ sets and the Style Stakes. The Cup welcomed back the 12th edition of The Cup, ‘exclusive once-per-year festival touted as “Vancouver’s answer to the Kentucky Derby.” Celebrate your unique style, enjoy craft cocktails and champagne all day, cheer on your favorites, vibe to live music, and commiserate with your new derby comrades, all amidst a concourse of high-energy action and sophisticated chill.’
After a two-year hiatus ticket holders couldn’t wait to flash their derby wristbands for entry. Tito’s Vodka, The Botanist gin, Piper Heidsieck, Rebel Bourbon and Lonetree, just to name a few, made sure glasses were always kept full. Fourty-two track-side suites had something to read from yours truly, Fueler Canada Magazine; Mile’s End Motors didn’t miss a beat with their specially constructed VIP stage in the Field of Dreams… and not to mention a fleet of cars worth over 4.7 million dollars.
Mile’s End Motors has two locations: 1755 West 3rd Ave., and their new space in New West, 120-131 11th Street. The Cup ticket holders were able to win a free car for a year! Their girls in red supplied a QR code to scan and apply. First year free financing on a 4-5 year finance. Cars on display at The Cup that were eligible:
Dodge Charger, Kia Stinger, Acura RX , Dodge Challenger , Range Rover SVR , GMC Terrain
The Cup was littered with millions of dollars worth of exclusive cars from boutique car dealership Mile’s End Motors: Porsche Carrera GT , Ford GT , Mercedes Benz SLS , Rolls Royce Wraith.
